Q: Why does the heavy duty Star Wheel Sack Truck
have a safe working load on stairs of only 50kg?
A: We follow the guidelines for lifting,
pushing and pulling in the Manual Handling Directive
- this covers safe handling for a single person. The
truck may well carry 150kg, but not on a staircase
because here the load you can contol is considerably

Q: Yours is called a Star Wheel and not a Stair
Climber. Why?
A: If we called it a stair-climber by
implication it would mean the truck climbed the stair.
In fact it just reduces the effort required to pull
the load up and control it down the stairs. If the
truck were fully loaded we'd recommend two people
operate the unit. |
